SERVICE TECHNICIAN

REPORTING TO: Service Manager 

Key Responsibilities:

Accurately and skilfully undertaking the repair and servicing of motor vehicles.

Carrying out inspection and service routines, repairs and testing of vehicles.

Communicating with Parts department to obtain parts needed, inform Workshop Controller if vehicle is awaiting parts and pursue special order of parts if necessary.

Working with other departments to facilitate the servicing and repair of customer vehicles.

Diagnosing vehicle malfunctions, and recommend/perform appropriate repairs.

Ensuring opportunities are identified to improve the business/profitability.

Full knowledge of our products and customer needs.

Support and help colleagues where required to deliver team priorities.

Undertake the necessary training and skills development.

Knowledge/Skills/Experience/Special Requirements: 

Nissan experience is preferred but not essential as brand training will be given.

MOT experience would be an added advantage.

Customer orientated.

Previous experience in a similar role.

Hours of Work: 

Monday to Friday 8.30 am to 5.30 pm and Saturdays 8.30 am to 12.30 pm.  Please note that this role requires flexibility to work additional hours to meet the demands of the business

Key Responsibilites:

To increase the efficiency and capacity of the sales team within a Volvo retailer by providing an expert resource that enhances the Volvo customer buying and ownership experience through:

Offering exceptional Volvo Cars product knowledge and insight

Delivering bespoke new and used car presentations and handovers

Creating product and accessories displays which are relevant and engaging

Provide all customers with specific and relevant information about new and used Volvo Cars, accessories and merchandise.

Planning, managing and execution of product presentations to customers; new and used cars.

Prepare & complete Sales Invoices

Prepare & send reports for Customer Order Progress Updates & overdue accounts

Cleanse, complete & archive Sales Files following completion of order ensuring that documentation is present & correct

Produce reports for data analysis & forecasting

Assist in all aspects of Fleet Administration within Rental & Corporate Sales

Monitor Manufacturer funding schemes, administer as required & assist in audits

Greenhous Ford are looking to appoint a Service Advisor to be based at the Ford dealership in Newtown. 

REPORTING TO: Acting Service Manager 

Key Responsibilities: 

  To book customers in for servicing, MOT and repair work

Customer invoicing and other relevant paperwork

 Calling and upselling concerns identified on vehicles

 Gaining authorisation and invoicing on the 1 link system

 Manage the workshop technicians daily jobs

         Work closely with the new Quicklane site to manage the daily work load

     Report to figures and technician efficiencies to the Manager

   To be flexible, focused and driven towards achieving monthly objectives in terms of sales, customer satisfaction

Knowledge/Skills/Experience/Special Requirements: 

Strong IT and administration Skills

Pleasant telephone manner and outgoing personality are essential

Excellent customer service skills
