Andy retires from Greenhous Vauxhall – for now!

After a continuous spell of service amounting to nearly 35 years Andy Giordano has laid down his tools for the last time at the Greenhous Vauxhall service department in Trench Lock, Telford. Or so we thought! Andy has said he will make himself available to cover for absent colleagues on a casual basis so his invaluable experience will not be lost to the dealership just yet.

    A group of 11 women are setting out on the 5th August to complete an 8 day, 450 mile cycle challenge to set up a platform for talking about the devastating impact the illnesses Dementia and Alzheimers can have on individuals and their families. Greenhous Vauxhall in Shrewsbury have loaned a Vauxhall Vivaro van and Mokka to the team to help support their mammoth ride. Andy Evans, Sales Manager, expressed his support for the ride: “Like many people these diseases have affected my family and I am 100% behind these ladies in what will be a monumental challenge, but they have trained hard and will enjoy the experience I am sure.”

    Ahead of the launch event for the all new Ford Fiesta, scheduled for the 28th to the 31st July at Greenhous Ford in Newtown, a Mark 2 Ford Fiesta has arrived to become part of the display. The 1986 Fiesta Popular+ has been loaned to the dealership for the duration of the launch event. The Mark 2 has a 1.1litre petrol engine and has covered 78,000 miles in the past 21 years.

Mark still has the original paperwork, including his training passport for his apprenticeship from the time he started with William A Lewis Volvo. Now he is the Service Manager at Greenhous Volvo in Shrewsbury.
