    Toyota hydrogen car to go into production

    Toyota is ready to start selling its first emissions-free, hydrogen-powered fuel cell car in Japan from 15th December 2014. The Toyota Mirai is a four door, futuristic looking vehicle which will be on sale from mid 2015 in the US and Europe. It is thought it will cost the equivalent of around about £63,000 including taxes. Initial sales are likely to be low as the required infrastructure to support fuel cell cars in its infancy across the world. Toyota hopes to sell 400 in Japan and 300 in the rest of the world in the first year.

    Year 6 pupils at Harlescott Junior School in Shrewsbury are studying their environment, how it is affected by human activities and how it can be protected. It is very important for the youngest generation to understand the issues and remind us all of our duties to protect their inheritance. As an addition to their studies they are taking part in an art competition run by Toyota to draw their ‘Dream car’.
