The historical Shropshire County Show, one of the largest in the region, took place on Saturday, 28th May at the Greenhous West Mid Showground in Shrewsbury. Delighted to be the main sponsors of the Showground, Greenhous brands were out in force displaying the latest models in their collections.
The response to a request for players to take part in a football match on the Greenhous Meadow, home of Shrewsbury Town FC, was so great two fixtures were arranged. On Friday, 13th May a Greenhous team took on local company Salop Leisure and on the Saturday, 14th May another Greenhous team played against a local team.
Dave joined Greenhous as a nightshift technician as the company he was working for was closing their nightshift down and Dave only wanted to work nights. When he arrived it soon became apparent that he was very serious about his work as he had the largest tool box anyone had ever seen, full with Snap on tools. It became a source of amusement that whenever Snap on brought out a new catalogue, Dave would be told about any new tools and he would immediately order them!
It might not be everyone’s idea of a fun run but the thought of a gruelling 5 km Mud Run is not stopping Kirstie Mercer from her intention to complete the course and raise lots of money for a special charity.
As the major sponsors of Shrewsbury Town Football Club, Greenhous were delighted to have the opportunity to present the Player’s Player of the Year award to Abu Ogogo, midfield star for the team.
