    Lee Morgan’s passion for model glider flying can be traced back to his time as a boy watching his grandfather flying them. Those early excursions left an impression in Lee’s mind and he took up glider racing in 2009, and now is a member of the Long Mynd Soaring Association (LMSA). Lee is a sales controller with Greenhous Ford based in Welshpool, where he is pictured with one of his gliders.

    Greenhous Accident and Repair Centre recently sponsored the Meole Brace Garden and Allotment Society to help fund their annual show. As a way of thanks the society provided some of the prize winning vegetables as a gesture of thanks. The staff at Greenhous decided to raffle off the vegetables for £1.00 a ticket, a draw was made quickly as the veg was very fresh and a total of £80 was raised and will be donated to the Severn Hospice.

    Sporting a fine head of hair and a sprouting full beard, Nick Leighton has taken the brave decision to have it all cut off in aid of charity. Following a trend called ‘Brave the Shave’, started by Macmillan Cancer Support, Nick is joining hundreds of men and women across the country who have shed their locks in aid of the charity, raising over £2.5 million in the process.

Jayne Smith, who works as a driver/site person at Greenhous Renault in Telford is one such person determined to do her best to help out.

    Dave Hopson, a contractor to Midland Quarry Products has just taken ownership of a new DAF CF370 Tipper (pictured) from Greenhous DAF in Willenhall. This vehicle replaces Dave’s last DAF, which served him well for 10 years.

    The building work on the new Greenhous Ford Transit Centre on Pool Road, Newtown is rapidly advancing now with a few small things to complete internally and the main external surface works close to completion.

    Around 19 regular cycle enthusiasts will be endeavouring to travel 125 miles on a route from the Greenhous Vauxhall dealership in Trench Lock to the coastal resort of Porthmadog in Wales on Saturday, 27th August. In the past the ride has raised significant sums of money towards the Layla Pitt Remembrance Trust which has helped to provide support for family facilities at Alder Hey Children’s Hospital and to provide opportunities for children to take part in performing arts.
