Central Office staff prove sitting down is good exercise and raises money!

Four staff from Greenhous Central Office at Vincent House on the Shrewsbury Business Park, rallied to the call to enter into a competition to sit on the seats at the Greenhous Meadow, home of Shrewsbury Town FC.

Salop Leisure staff member, Max Ball, is undertaking 12 challenges to raise around £8,000 towards the Macmillan Cancer Support charity as his father has recently been diagnosed with cancer.  Max contacted Martin James at Greenhous and suggested a challenge with teams from both companies racing each other to sit on the seats around the stadium.

Joining Martin were Amanda Cowey, Andrew Burgess and Jo Jones as battle commenced and the nearly 10,000 seats were all to be sat upon. Thankfully it was a bright, sunny but crisp morning and the task was completed without injury, although tiredness and stiff muscles have been the main issue since the weekend!

Max had already completed two challenges.  He did a bungee jump from a 160 foot crane and took part in a Mud Run.  Also on his agenda are the Three Peak Challenge and taking a speaking part in a Shakespeare play.

The Greenhous team raised around £350 between them to add to Max’s total so far.  He is now approaching £4,000 towards his personal goal.
