Hundreds of excited boys and girls in Telford and Wrekin schools will be given the opportunity to represent their schools at the annual finals of the Telford and Wrekin Schools and Colleges Association (TWSCFA) in early May, thanks to the continued sponsorship of the Greenhous Group.

Telford & Wrekin Schools & Colleges Football Association was resurrected some six years ago and grows with each season.  It now provides boys and girls district competitions at secondary and primary level and boys and girls representative football up to Youth level.  District sides have achieved impressive successes competing in the West Midlands against significantly larger associations.

Vic Maher, Chairman of TWSCFA, is fulsome in his praise of the support received from Greenhous saying: “We have been very fortunate to benefit from sponsorship from Greenhous who are keen supporters of football in the county.  This has made an incredible difference to what we can provide for our young players.  AFC Telford United has been an active partner of the association and we have benefitted enormously from the support of the club. Together we are totally committed to providing the best opportunities for our young players and I am delighted to see the positive response from the community.

“On behalf of the players, it is a big thank you to Greenhous for their active support and encouragement.  The enthusiastic response of our young footballers and their families confirms how important football is to this community.  The association is very grateful for this support at a time when finances are limited. We are so proud of the way our young players respond to the opportunity and all are welcome to join us at the Bucks Head for an evening of football on May 3, 4, 5 & 6.“
