Greenhous DAF Commercials establish long term relationships with companies across Shropshire, mid-Wales and the West Midlands and SMC are a prime example of a successful, long established client of the Shrewsbury- based DAF dealership.

SMC were founded 27 years ago and operate from their premises near Shawbury in Shropshire. SMC can supply a wide range of concretes for all types and sizes of projects through their fleet of small vehicles. Their range of products include self-placing, fibre-reinforced, pattern-imprinted, foamed, and a variety of strength mixes.

They have been running mostly DAF concrete mixers since 2005 and now have a fleet of eleven 18t 4 wheeler mixers, eight of which are DAF LF’s.  This includes the latest arrival which is pictured. All of the vehicles are fitted with trackers and operate in Shropshire and surrounding around 30 to 40 miles from the Shawbury base.  The mixers carry 4 cubic metres of pre-selected concrete mix and deliver to a range of outlets including house builders, highways and private customers. The smaller vehicles are more manoeuvrable on sites allowing better accessibility, weighing less than their larger competitors. 

Paul Morris is one of the directors of SMC with a responsibility for the logistical side of the business.  He speaks highly of the relationship SMC have with Greenhous DAF saying: “Our vehicles have distinctive ‘SMC’ plates and the look of each truck is important to us as it portrays our image.  We have drivers who look after their vehicles as if they were their own.”
