Ford Transit Van is highly flexible and remarkably adaptable. Choose from three load lengths, plus a range of GVMs and driveline configurations. Name the task and there’s a Transit built for it.
Features additional to Base:
An Intelligent AWD system can determine how much grip, cornering balance and responsiveness is required in wet, dry or icy conditions and on varying terrain. The technology is able to send drive to the front or rear axle depending on requirements. And this ‘torque on demand’ system delivers exceptional handling and improved efficiency.
With Adaptive Cruise Control technology, you choose the speed you want to drive at and the system will maintain it. If the built-in RADAR sensor detects a vehicle ahead, it will slow your vehicle to maintain a pre-set distance. Once the road in front is clear, the system will accelerate to your chosen speed.
Ford SYNC 3 allows you to wirelessly connect your mobile and MP3 player. You can control your music, phone, navigation system, and climate control using simple, intuitive voice commands or via the 6" colour touchscreen. You can even call up a list of local restaurants just by saying “I’m hungry”, or access the Michelin Guide to help you choose and book. Wi-Fi connectivity is available via hotspots, with a USB modem.
The advanced Ford EcoBlue 2.0L TDCi diesel engines comply with the stringent Euro6 emissions standard, which specifies a 55% reduction in nitrogen oxide (NOx) emissions versus the Euro5 emissions standard.
Engineered to meet strict Euro6 emissions standards, Transit’s Ford EcoBlue 2.0 litre TDCi engines combine out‐ standing performance and power with lower fuel consumption and emissions, from as low as 44.8 mpg (6.1 L/100km) and 162g/km CO2. Available in three power outputs of 105 PS/ 360 Nm, 130 PS / 385 Nm and 170PS / 405 Nm, there’s an option to suit your needs.
A selective catalytic reduction system uses AdBlue®, a urea/water-based fluid to convert NOx emissions in the exhaust gas into nitrogen and water. A particulate filter then reduces more than 99% of emitted solid particulates from the vehicle’s exhaust. To operate correctly, the AdBlue® tank of your Ford EcoBlue diesel engine must be filled with AdBlue® fluid. System warnings illuminate when fluid level becomes too low.
When you stop at traffic lights or your vehicle is idling in a queue, this technology can automatically switch off the engine (while still supplying power to essentials like the headlights, air-conditioning, radio and the Ford SYNC system). When you're ready to move, just depress the clutch and select first gear as usual, or press the accelerator on an automatic, and the system restarts. Auto-Start-Stop is particularly effective in town and city streets, where it can cut fuel consumption by up to 10% (urban cycle).
Ford’s unique roll-rate sensor helps the Roll Stability Control system to keep the tyres grounded, specifically under conditions where there’s a high centre of gravity and when driving through off-camber turns.
Curve Control senses when a driver takes a curve too quickly, and can rapidly reduce engine torque – and apply brakes to individual wheels – to help keep the vehicle safely under control.
Trailer Sway Control detects ‘snaking’ or trailer sway and reduces your vehicle’s speed to help solve the problem, making towing more controlled. The system slows the vehicle down by reducing the engine’s torque and gradually increasing the brake pressure on all wheels.
