A great many people express their feelings of support for good causes by engaging in some extraordinary feats of endurance or organising wacky events that will attract publicity and hopefully donations for charity. Kevin Yale at Greenhous DAF in Willenhall has decided to adopt a personal change of appearance for his sponsored activity – a head shave!
Thanks to the generosity of staff and friends backing the Greenhous crew of Derek Passant, Amanda Cowey, Kara Hoofe and Martin James, we managed to raise the grand total of £1,031.92. This is a splendid amount and with Gift Aid on a lot of donations the final total to Macmillan could exceed £1,300.
The 2015 Greenhous staff golf competition took place at the Hawkstone Park Golf Club last weekend with a good number of teams representing staff from across the company. Our Chairman, Keith Sayfritz returned to play in the event following his temporary absence last year, and met with some success in the team event.
Greenhous supplied two all-electric vehicles for this annual event put on by Stretton Climate Care in the Lion Meadow Car Park in Church Stretton. The Renault Zoe and the Nissan ENV-200 van were both displayed alongside other electric vehicles including the Nissan LEAF and the much admired Teslar Model S.
We may not have won the World Coracle Championships in Shrewsbury, but we had great fun trying! The Greenhous team was comprised of Derek Passant, Amanda Cowey, Kara Hoofe and Martin James, with able technical support from Jo Jones. Only one of us got wet though!
