Greenhous.provide support for High Ercall Primary School

Greenhous has always been aware of its responsibilities in the community and has consistently looked for ways in which to support community groups.  As a result of the proposed development of the former High Ercall air base by Greenhous for vehicle storage, the company approached the local primary school to see how they could be supported.

Sarah Roberts, the head teacher of High Ercall Primary School, was delighted by the approach and the offer to fund some much needed equipment for the children. It will also open up a partnership between the school and Greenhous where the curriculum can be supported.  Staff from Greenhous were invited into a school assembly to talk to the children and make some presentations.

Sarah asked for a tall flag which could be used at outdoor sports events and we also produced a banner to advertise the school”, said Martin James, PR and Communications Executive at Greenhous. “There was also a need for a camera for the children to record their learning and activities and so we were pleased to donate two digital cameras, which have Wifi capability and are waterproof and shockproof.

There is another surprise in progress for the children which will be revealed to them shortly. Sarah also mentioned that the children were due to study renewable energies and so, as we supply all-electric vehicles, we have offered to take an electric car in for the children to view and ask questions about.

Sarah Roberts expressed her thanks to Greenhous saying: “The support from Greenhous is much appreciated, as it has enabled us to have some additional cameras, which are used extensively in the infant classes to support learning. The flag will be great at outdoor events such as cross country. It is great to be able to work with a local company who can support us in varying ways, including within the curriculum."
