Charity cycle ride from Telford to Porthmadog attracts 20 riders.
The annual Layla Jane Pitt Remembrance Trust cycle ride has attracted another big entry of riders willing to test their strength and stamina on the 125 mile cycle ride from Greenhous Vauxhall in Trench Lock, Telford to the Cardigan View Holiday Park at Black Rock Sands, Porthmadog on the Welsh coast. This year the first female participant, Jacqui Seaton will be joining the group which comprises mostly Greenhous colleagues and friends of team leader, Tristan Pitt, Layla’s father.

Together with his wife Rachel and help from a lot of family and friends, Tristan has organised the trip which will take place on Saturday, 26th August.  The route visits Shrewsbury Town Football Club, Knockin, the Berwyn mountains, Bala, Barmouth, Harlech and then Porthmadog. The ride is devoted to the memory of their daughter, Layla.

Tristan revealed that the Trust will be donating £21,000 to worthy causes for children in this year, which coincides with what would have been Layla’s 21st birthday this year. The main recipients will be Hope House Children’s Hospice, Alder Hey Children’s Hospital and Birmingham Children’s Hospital.

On November 18th at Patshull Park Hotel, the Trust will be putting on a 21st birthday charity ball.  Donations of raffle and auction prizes are being sought.  Please contact Rachel Pitt via e mail  Please visit the website for more information about the Layla Jane Pitt Remembrance Trust.
