Shed City, which manufactures and supplies timber buildings throughout the UK, called upon Greenhous Telford to supply a custom-built vehicle after finding out about the commercial vehicle specialists’ exclusive customisation service. A UK first, Greenhous’ bespoke vehicle offering takes into account individual business needs and delivers made-to-order one off vehicles for leisure, agricultural and commercial use that cannot be purchased as a matter of course.
Sales executive Ben Esp said: “This is something Greenhous has been doing on an ad hoc basis for several years, taking the chassis cab versions of the manufacturer’s range of vans, and building specialist bodies for them to meet specific customer needs, but with 2012 being our Centenary year and the customisation offering being exclusive to us, we decided to bring the service to the forefront of the business.
“Sam Prince of Shed City contacted us to see if we could support the company by providing a specialist vehicle to allow them to deliver their products around the country. Shed City’s vehicles are subject to specific requirements, and further to liaison with Sam and our construction team, we were able to deliver to order, on deadline and within budget, while adhering to the necessary guidelines.”
Sam said he was delighted with the service Greenhous provided. “It’s not always possible to find exactly what you need on the forecourt, and Greenhous appreciate that. Ben took time to understand what we needed in terms of capacity, special features and fuel efficiency, and he and his team then had a vehicle custom-built to our requirements.
“Ben kept us informed every step of the way throughout the customisation process and delivered on time. We’re very pleased with the vehicle – it fits our needs exactly, and isn’t something we could have sourced anywhere else,” he said. Previous bespoke orders fulfilled by Greenhous have included horse boxes, trailers and car transporters with a 2,100kg capacity.
