Greenhous Cars and Commercials successful start to 2012 is set to continue with the launch of two desirable new additions to the Vauxhall family; the Zafira Tourer and the Astra GTC. After recording record first quarter sales, Greenhous says that delivery of the recently launched Vauxhall models has caused a flurry of excitement within its customer base.

The launch of both vehicles comes hot on the heels of the long-anticipated Ampera, the brand’s ecologically responsible new vehicle. Dave Sullivan, director and general manager at Greenhous, said: “Both models fill a niche in the market. The Zafira Tourer is a premium multi-purpose vehicle that can be packed with seven passengers and luggage and still have space to spare, while the stylish Astra GTC is a sleek coupé that combines image with practicality.

“The Zafira Tourer is going to have a huge impact on the family market - inspired by the high-tech luxury of elite high-speed trains, it is streamlined and sleek, yet has a spacious interior. Combined with a panoramic windscreen and a full-length glass sunroof, the overall effect is one of space and openness, and driving is a pleasure,” said Dave.

Meanwhile, the Astra GTC was based on the acclaimed Paris concept car and combines a concept car with a practical everyday driving experience. Its stunning, coupé-like profile, distinctive, blade-inspired lines and striking 18-inch alloy wheels are essentials for those who like their cars eye-catching and iconic, while its innovative chassis technology means that the car reacts to changing conditions, continually adapts to individual driving style and allows the driver to change the dynamics at the touch of a button with three operating modes; ‘Sport’, ‘Tour’ and ‘Normal’; all being optimised for different driving scenarios.

“All in all, whether the car’s needed for long-distance driving or sporting conditions, it offers superb handling, unbeatable style and uncompromised safety and security,” Dave said. “We’ve had enormous interest in both models which look set to be hugely successful additions to the Vauxhall range. Increasingly customers want space and performance, and in light of the recent budget, a car that isn’t going to prove too expensive to run. Vauxhall has ensured that each car ticks all the boxes when it comes to image, performance, space and economy, and we’re expecting our second quarter of the year to match, if not exceed, the success of the first as our customers explore them and the purchase options available.
