Only 4 years ago the company started up in Oakengates in Telford at a new premises with lots of public parking, and this has led to a major expansion of the business as Paul explains: “We started with one van selling eggs and have grown into a distribution business with clients in Manchester, Coventry, Hereford and across the Midlands.
“We needed to have more vehicles and so we have purchased two new Renault Master vans from Greenhous. These will be fitted with chiller conversions. We supply all sorts of chilled food from our new premises which we market under the name ‘The Meat Trade Counter’. The retail shop here is open 7 days a week and we supply a wide range of fresh foods, frozen and chilled produce and very competitive prices. All of our products have a good warranty and packaging compared with other brands
“Our vans also go out to a large number of local customers including cafes, butchers, mini-supermarkets, farm shops and other wholesalers.”
With business growing, Paul has plans to extend the buildings to produce a new distribution centre from where the Master vans will be stocked before setting off. After starting in Bridgnorth with just 4 staff the company now employees 25 local people helping to support the local community and economy.
