The Women's World Car of the Year 2023 has recognized the Nissan X-Trail as the best Large SUV

The Nissan X-Trail has been named Best Large SUV 2023 by the Women's World Car of the Year (WWCOTY) jury, at its thirteenth edition. Comprised exclusively of women automotive journalists, the WWCOTY praised the X-Trail for its spaciousness, driving performance, and e-POWER electrified powertrain. Makoto Uchida, Nissan's CEO, expressed delight in receiving the honor, noting that the X-Trail had taken into account the voices of female customers throughout its design and development process.

Built on the Alliance CMF-C platform, the X-Trail boasts advanced technologies, including the e-POWER system that offers an EV-drive feeling without requiring a recharge. The new X-Trail has a muscular design, all-wheel drive system, and is available as a five- or seven-seater, making it a unique offering in its segment.

As a result of being named Best Large SUV, the X-Trail is now in contention for the highest award of the WWCOTY, Best Car of the Year 2023, to be announced on 8 March.

Nissan aims to be a sustainable company driving towards a cleaner, safer, and more inclusive world, with a long-term vision, Ambition 2030. The strategy sets out to deliver electrified models and technological innovation globally, with a goal of being carbon neutral across the lifecycle of its products and operations by 2050.
