At the end of your Personal Contract Purchase agreement, you will have the following options: Return the Vehicle. You may return the vehicle to the finance company and have no further liability, provided: The vehicle is in a condition consistent with fair wear and tear guidelines; and the agreed mileage has not been exceeded. If the vehicle has exceeded the agreed mileage or is not in line with fair wear and tear standards, additional charges may apply. Pay the Optional Final Payment. You may choose to purchase the vehicle by paying the Optional Final Payment (also known as the balloon payment), together with any outstanding fees (if applicable). Once this payment has been received, ownership of the vehicle will transfer to you. Part-Exchange the Vehicle. You may choose to part-exchange the vehicle. If the vehicle’s market value exceeds the Optional Final Payment, any equity may be used as a deposit towards a new vehicle, subject to settlement of the existing agreement and acceptance of any new credit agreement (where applicable). If the vehicle’s value is less than the Optional Final Payment, the difference will need to be paid.
