On the 19th to the 20th September, the JAECOO 7 SHS-P took on the Three Peaks Challenge with Ben Shephard, driven by record-breaking drivers Kevin Booker and Sam Clarke.

The event saw the JAECOO 7 Super Hybrid Plug-in Hybrid take on rain in the Highlands, sun in the Lakes, and high winds at Yr Wyddfa. The challenge was an attempt to take on all three summits with as little fuel as possible, and the successful attempt was officially verified by Guinness World Records. For the record to count, Ben Shephard had to reach all three summits, with the JAECOO 7 SHS-P getting him between them comfortably and efficiently. The fuel filler and charge port were sealed at the start and opened at the finish, ensuring that no further fuel or charge could be used to power the JAECOO 7 SHS-P’s challenging journey. With these restrictions in place, Ben still made all three summits successfully, with the car covering 469.5 miles total at an impressive 68.7mpg.
