Greenhous Group Take on Octopus Electric Vehicles in Charity Football Match

Last month, on Sunday 26th April, Greenhous Group and Octopus Electric Vehicles came together for a charity football match at Shrewsbury Town FC, raising money for two very important causes: Burning Nights and Steps.

The match kicked off at 12:00pm, and alongside the football itself, the event was also an opportunity to shine a light on the personal stories behind the chosen charities for the event. Both charities have a significant connection for one of our own Greenhous employees, Amy. Openly sharing her journey of living with Hip Dysplasia and Complex Regional Pain Syndrome (CRPS), Amy offers an inspiring reminder of why support for causes like these matters so much. While the match finished 3–1 to Octopus Electric Vehicles, the biggest achievement of the day was the support shown throughout the event for the charities. A total of £1,323 was raised through donations and the generosity of those who attended.

This exciting event brought together colleagues, supporters, donors and participants for an afternoon centred on community spirit, generosity and sportsmanship. Everyone involved played a part in making the occasion such a success, from those on the pitch to those supporting from the sidelines. We wish to extend special thanks to all our raffle prize suppliers for their generous contributions, which helped to encourage even more support for the fundraising effort.

Bringing Greenhous Group and Octopus Electric Vehicles together for this charity match encouraged more than just competitive spirit. Together we hosted a meaningful event that combined teamwork, fundraising and shared community support for two incredibly worthwhile causes.
