An exciting opportunity has become available for a motivated and enthusiastic individual to begin their career in the automotive sector as a Junior Parts Advisor at our busy and well-established multi-brand dealership in Trench Lock, Telford.
This is the perfect entry-level role for someone with a keen interest in vehicles and excellent customer service skills, looking to grow and develop within a supportive team. As a Junior Parts Advisor, you will play a vital role in supporting the parts department, assisting customers both face-to-face and over the phone, managing stock, placing orders, and learning the ins and outs of vehicle parts supply for both cars and light commercial vehicles (LCVs).
Other duties may be required of the post holder in addition to those listed above and below, to ensure that the requirements of the business are met at all times.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assisting the parts team in daily operations within a busy aftersales department.
- Supporting the processing of customer parts enquiries under supervision.
- Learning to identify automotive parts using internal systems and catalogues
- Helping to maintain accurate stock control and organisation in the parts department.
- Assisting in preparing and packaging orders for both internal and external customers.
- Shadowing experienced staff to gain product knowledge and customer service skills.
- Communicating professionally with customers and colleagues, both in person and over the phone.
- Supporting the workshop team with internal parts requests.
- Participating in basic admin tasks such as data entry, invoicing, and updating customer records.
- Learning how to liaise with suppliers and process orders correctly.
Ideally, we are looking for:
- A genuine interest in the motor industry
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- A proactive and customer-focused attitude
- Willingness to learn and grow within the role
- Basic computer literacy
- A full UK driving licence is preferred but not essential
