We’re looking for a skilled and experienced MET Technician / Stripper Fitter to join our growing team at Greenhous Livingston.

This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated automotive professional to play a key role in the repair, refurbishment, and reassembly of vehicles to manufacturer and Greenhous standards. You’ll be responsible for diagnosing, dismantling, and fitting a variety of mechanical, electrical, and trim components, ensuring every vehicle leaves our site in top condition.

Other duties may be required of the post holder in addition to those listed below to ensure that the requirements of the business are met at all times.

Key Responsibilities:

• Strip, dismantle and prepare vehicles/components for refurbishment, rebuild or re-fit operations.
• Fit and install mechanical, electrical and trim (MET) components as required.
• Diagnose and rectify faults / defects on vehicles/components during the refurbishment process.
• Ensure work is completed to the required quality, timing and safety standards.
• Record work in appropriate systems, ensure compliance with policies & procedures (e.g., H&S).
• Collaborate with other workshop/refurbishment team members to meet throughput and quality targets.

Ideally, we are looking for:

• Previous experience in a technician or fitter role within automotive refurbishment, vehicle stripping or similar environment.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical and trim systems (MET).
• Ability to work independently, diagnose issues and deliver high-quality finishes.
• Excellent attention to detail, good organisational skills and a safety-first mindset.
• Good communication skills and able to work as part of a team.
• Driving licence preferred.
