Geely UK Partner with Team England

Geely UK are proud to announce their partnership with Team England, becoming their Official Automotive Partner in the team’s run up to the Glasgow 2026 Commonwealth Games.

This partnership brings together one of the most forward-thinking automotive groups in the UK and the ambitious Team England, as our athletes get ready to take on the other Commonwealth teams.

In addition to this collaboration, Geely UK will play a key role in the King’s Baton Relay during Team England’s leg of the journey to the Glasgow Opening Ceremony. To support the team during their leg of the King’s Baton Relay taking place between the 26^th and 31^st May 2026, Geely will be providing Team England branded Geely EX5 vehicles. The fully electric Geely EX5 SUV will be used to transport the King’s Baton, athletes and any guests across the country as they make their journey to Glasgow.  

Geely’s backing of the Team continues with their role as a supporting partner for the National Weekend of Sport in July 2026. This nationwide open weekend is delivered n partnership with GLL, the largest leisure and culture trust in the UK. During this event, free access is offered to more than 280 sports and leisure facilities, with an expected participation of over 350,000 community members. Geely UK will be present at onsite events throughout the weekend, helping the Team to inspire people of all ages to try out a new sport and get active.

As this year’s Commonwealth Games in Glasgow is fast approaching, Geely UK are excited to be part of this landmark partnership. Helping to drive Team England’s Ready to Win campaign, Geely are proud to be able to bring fans closer to the athletes and create powerful moments of connection during events across the country in the run up to and throughout the Games.

The 2026 Commonwealth Games is taking place in Glasgow, Scotland, from the 23^rd July to the 2^nd August 2026. Featuring ten sports across four venues, the Commonwealth Games this year will include athletics, swimming, track cycling and netball events.
