Vauxhall Announces Partnership with Team GB Ahead of Winter Olympics
Vauxhall Becomes Official Automotive Partner of Team GB
Two iconic British names are joining forces, with Vauxhall becoming the official automotive partner of Team GB.
Vauxhall is supporting Britain’s Olympic heroes as they prepare for the upcoming Milano Cortina 2026 Olympic Winter Games, as well as in the Los Angeles 2028 Olympic Games. The partnership will see Britain’s beloved sports team and one of the most recognisable automotive brands in Britain join forces.
The Chair of the British Olympic Association, Dame Katherine Grainger, said “Vauxhall is a well-established and trusted part of everyday life in Britain, and we are very pleased to welcome them into the Team GB family. Their commitment to a more sustainable future aligns with our own ambitions, and we are confident this partnership will make a meaningful difference. Vauxhall's support will play an important role as our athletes prepare for Milano Cortina 2026 and then LA28, and we look forward to working closely with them in the years ahead.”
Eurig Druce, Vauxhall Managing Director and Stellantis Group Managing Director, said “This partnership is a perfect match between two iconic British names. With 200 retailers across the country, Britain’s best-selling small car, and a long history of UK manufacturing, Vauxhall is committed to supporting real people, real journeys, and real communities of Great Britain. We’re proud to be backing the next generation of British talent as we help Team GB athletes prepare for Milano Cortina 2026 and LA 2028.”
A More Sustainable Future from Vauxhall
Vauxhall has been producing cars in Britain for 123 years, with the Ellesmere Port site being the UK’s first EV-only volume manufacturing plant, currently building Combo Electric Life and Combo Electric van models. Vauxhall continues to lead the way in electrifying Britain, with every car and van in the model line up being offered in a fully electric powertrain. Making EV driving accessible to all, the entire electric car range is priced under £40,000 with the New Frontera electric family SUV starting from £23,995. With initiatives such as the Electric Streets of Britain campaign, Vauxhall is working to increase the availability of on-street charging with the help of leading EV charging operators to make the move to electric as easy as possible.
