Edd is a vehicle technician at Greenhous Ford in Newtown and he has just achieved his Diploma as a Ford Powertrain Specialist from the Henry Ford Academy – the first stage on his route to the Masters award.
A token bigger than the Olympic relay torch was delivered to Shrewsbury & District Branch of The Royal Air Forces Association (RAFA) on Saturday the 28th of July 2018. The Token is part of the Wales, Midland and Southwestern Area 100th Anniversary of the Royal Air Force Project entitled “Building the Royal Air Force and Buying 2 WWII Spitfires”. This token is one of three being relayed around 85 RAFA branches and local RAF units in the three areas.

After a long and successful career in management accountancy, Stewart Brown is literally putting on his boots and picking up his trowel to engage on the next phase of his career as an archaeologist! A long held passion for anthropology and the discovery of historical artefacts at archaeological digs has led Stewart to taking up a post graduate diploma in archaeology at UCL this September.

Each year there is a ride out of thousands of motorcycle enthusiasts from Meole Brace in Shrewsbury to RAF Cosford in aid of the Bike4Life initiative which was raising funds for the Midlands Air Ambulance. This time the Shropshire, Staffordshire and Cheshire Blood Bikers were honoured to be invited by organisers, the Midland Free Wheelers, to lead off the massive procession of motorcycles.
Changing carer direction is not something which has phased Amy Kilburn. Amy, who is from Shrewsbury and attended the Wakeman School, qualified at the Shrewsbury College of Arts and Technology as a Hair and Beauty specialist, something which she returns to in her spare time. After leaving college she spent a period working in clothes and jewellery retail outlets before taking up a position as a service advisor at a garage in Wem.
Although Jack Darlington is at the start of his career with Greenhous as a Fleet Sales Administrator, he is keen to progress and hopes that his new role will be the foundation for an exciting career in the automotive industry.
