Blood biker Neil leads the Bike 4 Life ride out with celebrity riders.

Each year there is a ride out of thousands of motorcycle enthusiasts from Meole Brace in Shrewsbury to RAF Cosford in aid of the Bike4Life initiative which was raising funds for the Midlands Air Ambulance. This time the Shropshire, Staffordshire and Cheshire Blood Bikers were honoured to be invited by organisers, the Midland Free Wheelers, to lead off the massive procession of motorcycles.

The fabulous, family-friendly Colour Run is Shropshire’s most colourful 5km and hundreds turned out at Telford Town Park on Sunday 10th June 2018 to get plastered with many colours.

    Popping in to Greenhous Vauxhall in Shrewsbury was Kelda Wood to collect her Vauxhall Astra estate from sales manager, Andy Evans. Kelda will be using the Astra to tow a trailer on which rests her Trans-Atlantic rowing boat, Storm Petrel. She will row across the Atlantic in December, single-handed, in her Row to Raise challenge in support of the local charity, Climbing Out.

His favoured mode of transport for this marathon road trip through northern Europe in June this year will be his 2015 Triumph Tiger 800 XCX.

    Les Hughes and Son Ltd are a forestry haulage specialist and provide road haulage and transport services. They are based in Kerry, Powys. DAF truck specialists Greenhous Commercials of Shrewsbury are delighted to have supplied Les Hughes with a new DAF CF 539 FAT 6X4 space cab with a 12 speed Traxion gearbox (auto). The vehicle is on a construction chassis to give greater ground clearance and a more robust frame. Its suspension is on steel springs instead of air suspension for stability reasons for when using the crane.

    Congratulations to Zak Evans who is a winner of the Outstanding Parts Person Award at Greenhous Commercials in Wolverhampton. Zak started at the DAF dealership in the Parts Department in October 2017 as a trainee with no previous experience of the truck industry, but how quickly he has learnt and his progress has been rewarded by DAF thanks to his nomination by Parts Operations Manager, Dave Moss.
